For the people holding the phones

A wedding QR code
your guests can actually use.

A wedding QR code for guest photos opens one shared event in the browser. Guests choose what to share and add a first name. No guest account, email address or app download is needed to contribute to a fotage album.

Free album: 50 watermarked photos, no videos. Upload for 7 days; online for 30 days. No card needed. Hosts create an account; guests do not.

A walkthrough, before the big day

Scan. Choose. Know it arrived.

Show guests the code and a short instruction. The first-name sheet appears on their first contribution; their name is remembered on that browser for later uploads.

Words for your table card

Make the invitation specific.

“Caught a good moment? Scan to share your photos. No app needed — just your first name.”

Add the readable event link below the code. Ask a family member to help guests who are unfamiliar with their phone camera. Test the printed card on different phones before putting one at every table.

The venue signal is weak
Keep the page open until each file finishes. Try fewer photos at a time or use the venue Wi-Fi. A QR code cannot make a slow connection faster.
A file did not finish
Read the file-level message. Retry a connection failure when the signal improves; for a rejected format or size, choose a supported or smaller file.
The photo is not in the guest gallery
It may be waiting for the host’s review. A completed upload and a publicly visible photo are different states.
The event is closed or full
Contact the host. The QR code still points to the same event, but it does not override upload dates or plan limits.

Questions your guests may ask

Do wedding guests have to register?

No. A guest can scan the event code and upload in their phone browser. The first upload asks for a first name, without creating an account or requiring an email address. An optional album email invitation can be skipped.

Why does fotage ask for a first name?

It gives the host a name for your contribution. The host controls whether contributor names appear in the guest gallery. Use the name you want the host to see; you do not need to provide an email address to upload.

Can guests choose several photos at once?

Yes. Use Choose photos & videos to pick files from the phone library. File picker behavior depends on the browser and device. Start with a few photos on a weak connection, and keep the upload page open until the files finish.

Can guests remove their own photos?

Guests can remove their own uploads when the host has enabled that option. Keep using the same browser and device so fotage can recognize the guest session. Contact the host if you no longer have that session.

Can guests upload videos?

Video uploads are available on paid album plans and are subject to the plan’s count, length and storage limits. The free album allows 50 watermarked photos and no videos, with 7 days for uploads and 30 days online.

What if the code opens a closed event?

A QR code does not extend the upload window. Ask the host whether the event is still collecting photos. If a window or plan limit has been reached, the host needs to resolve that before guests can keep uploading.

Plan the code. Make sharing easy.
